We met a few minutes into orientation...
We introduced ourselves to each other just a couple minutes into orientation on the first day of medical school in 2006. About an hour later, while the dean of students spoke to us, he said, “look around this room—there are about 250 of you in here. There’s a pretty good chance you’re going to end up marrying one of them.” We were sitting next to each other—little did we know he was right! Ben was smitten very quickly. It took Raina a few years to come to her senses, but thankfully for everyone involved, she eventually came around! After nearly ten years of way more ups than downs, a couple moves back and forth from the cornfields of Minnesota, and a whole lot of life lived together, we are so excited to move onto the next chapter of our lives together.
